Emma and Chris Young - Owners
We are dedicated deer hunters who were looking for a slug that would keep a big buck down and do it quickly.
After many hours and years of trying different ideas and designs Chris Young found the ultimate slug for rifled barreled shotguns. A .45 caliber pistol projectile made by Hornady in his patented COLLET CUP Sabot along with his special CCS Gas Seals proved to be the most reliable and accurate slug on the market today...
The above picture is proof what these slugs will do. These two bucks were taken with CCS SLUGS. Emma used her 12ga. Ithaca 37 with a Custom CYR rifled barrel made by Chris and Chris used his 20ga. Savage with a Custom CYR rifled barrel. Emma was using the standard slug --12ga. .45 caliber, .300gr. Hornady XTP in 2&3/4" moving out at approximately 1450FPS and Chris was using the standard slug --20ga, .250gr. Hornady XTP in 2&3/4" moving out at approximately 1550FPS.. Emma's deer was approximately 85 yards and went down with one shot. Chris's deer was approximately 75 yards and was a one shot kill.
Deer hunting is more than a passion with us, it is a lively hood. Chris was a dedicated gunsmith and had been for over 30 years. Since his illness, Chris has not been able to do gunsmithing, but still makes our famous sabots and slugs. Chris made the first fully rifled barreled shotgun in 1976 and had it on the market the following year. Chris made the famous CUSTOM CYR RIFLED SHOTGUN BARRELS .
Emma has been a taxidermist for over 25 years and has loved deer hunting for over 45 years....As one of the best taxidermist in New Jersey she is well known to hunters through out New Jersey..
